Corrective action

   

Corrective Action is an action taken to eliminate the causes of an existing nonconformity or other undesirable situation.

Changes made to bring expected future performance of a project in line with the plan or to correct the cause of a failure or design deficiency.

In Quality Management, Corrective Actions are those measures taken to rectify conditions adverse to specified quality, and where necessary, to preclude repetition.
